How long should my hair be for removal?

The hair can be removed as early as 2 - 3 mm in length. Even prior shaving is not a problem.

How painful is waxing?

Since the hairs are removed along with the hair roots, complete pain-free hair-removal is not possible. To make the treatment as comfortable as possible, we work first with pre-treatment oil. That creates a protective film between skin and wax and cuts down pain and irritation.

What do I need to know before waxing?

Irritated and damaged skin such as sunburn, can only be treated after skin has healed. No sunbeds visited 12 hours prior to treatments.

What must be considered after waxing?

The skin should be protected and kept clean. Small skin irritations that appear after 24 hours are normal.

How long will the results last?

Smooth, supple results can last for about 3 - 4 weeks. Exactly how long it depends on the individual hair growth and root strength. With regular consistent treatment, the results can lasts longer, the hair weakens and density is reduced.

What are ingrown hairs and what can you do about it?

Ingrown hair is a condition where the hair cannot grow through the surface of the skin but instead the hair curls back or grows sideways into the skin. The condition is most prevalent among people who have coarse or curly hair. While ingrown hair most commonly appears in areas where the skin is shaved or waxed (beard, legs, pubic region), it can appear anywhere. Anything which causes the hair to be broken off unevenly with a sharp tip can cause ingrown hairs. Ingrown hairs can also appear due to a lack of natural exfoliation in the skin. We recommend special products against ingrown hairs such as peeling gloves and ingrown hair spray.

Can an intimate waxing be carried out during my period or pregnancy?

Yes, if you are planning to treat intimate areas, we recommend using a tampon before treatment. If you are pregnant, that is not a problem as you will be treated with care.

For the next 12-24 hours after treatment, it is advisable:

• Keep away from saunas, sun-beds and pools.
• Avoid using skin-irritating substances such as perfume or deodorant.
• Avoid taking hot showers or bath – gently washing the areas with warm water is recommended.
• Avoid sweat-inducing exercises (sweat can irritate freshly waxed skin).
• Avoid excessive touching on the depilated area.
